“Skyfall” is a 2012 spy film that is twenty-third in the James Bond series. The movie is directed by Sam Mendes, with script by Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, and John Logan. It stars Daniel Craig, Javier Bardem, Judie Dench, Ben Whishaw, and Naomie Harris. The film follows Bond (Craig) who is looking into an attack on MI6, which is part of a plot by former spy Raoul Silva (Bardem) to kill his former boss M (Dench) and head of the MI6, who was disavowed by her on a mission years ago. This is the third of Craig’s Bond movies and with Mendes and his team at the helm, they create a smart addition to the series that pays homage to the previous films and adds some originality to it.

The Beer Lover’s Guide To The Movies pairs this film with Heineken Lager. This European Pale Lager has an ABV of 5.0%. It pours a light straw color with a small head with strong carbonation. It smells of malt and hops. It tastes slightly of corn, then bigger malts, with a little hoppiness to it, higher carbonation, and a slight aftertaste. I recommend this beer because in this James Bond movie, this is what the international spy drinks! Heineken paid a bit of money to get Bond to drink their product instead of Vodka Martinis. Drink what the spy drinks and see if you do not like this film.
